Our Accommodations
From thoughtful overnight board retreats to fun-filled group picnics that spill out across softball fields, playgrounds, and picnic pavilions, special gatherings of all types can find an inviting home in the varied facilities at St. Columba.
Scheibler Lodge
Scheibler Lodge has 20 sleeping rooms and can accommodate up to 55 people for overnight retreats. The lodge also has a dining room that can seat as many as 70 people. Meeting rooms in Scheibler Lodge can accommodate up to 100 people and can be configured to suit your needs.
Guests have access to all the essential equipment for group meetings:

- Projection screens
- Easels and newsprint
Scheibler Lodge also offers two screened porches, a peaceful front patio, and ample “breakout” space for small-group discussion. Food service is available. Room and lodging rates. Daily housekeeping service can be made available at an extra charge.
Gates Pavilion
Gates Pavilion is a large, wide-open, partially covered picnic space that can accommodate up to 300 people for a wide variety of daytime gatherings. It offers both screened-in and an open areas and has kitchen facilities, as well as full bathrooms with showers. The adjoining meadows, playground, and trails afford plentiful opportunities for recreation. (Equipment for softball, football, croquet, and horseshoes is available for use free of charge.) Lake access, included with Gates Pavilion usage, offers guests swimming, canoes, and paddleboats. Groups must supply own certified lifeguard.
Sanders Lodge
Sanders Lodge sleeps up to 20 people in 5 bedrooms with 2 bunk beds each. Each room has its own bathroom. The building has a large common room and a kitchen equipped to serve 25. Room and lodging rates.
Van Der Horst Pavilion
Van Der Horst (pronounced VAN-dross) pavilion provides a smaller alternative to the Gates Pavilion. This open-air pavilion offers some covered space as well as a grill area, bathroom facilities, a playground, and access to walking trails. Rental rates.
Hermitages
Two small and self-contained hermitages (St. Aidan’s Hermitage and St. Margaret’s Hermitage) are popular destinations for quiet, reflective treats.
Well apart from the main facilities, the hermitage area of St. Columba is considered the quiet-area of the property. Hermitage registration form.
